I received the fetal doppler in the mail yesterday and immediately put it to use. I am 10 weeks pregnant and was skeptical of such an inexpensive product working so early in my pregnancy. This is my first pregnancy and I get nervous since I am not experiencing many symptoms. This product didn’t come with a gel, as many others said, but I used lotion on my stomach. Within minutes, I was able to find the heartbeat and hear it loud and clear. There is minimal static with this doppler. I would strongly recommend this item to all pregnant women. I am not the type of person to ever write reviews, but since this worked so well for me, I wanted to encourage others to purchase it.

I read the other reviews before I bought this product and decided that the money was worth trying it out. The other reviews are correct that you will need some sort of lube (water, baby oil, doppler lube) etc. You will also need to be in a quiet room to hear the heart beat well. The product gets loud touching your belly so they can’t make the volume too much higher because when you move it around that noise will blast your ears off!! I found it helpful to put the entire doppler on my belly instead of just using the small circular part. I also used the recorder on the computer and it worked enough to please my Dad It sounds different on the computer than what you hear in the headphones but no big deal at all!! I am in love with this thing!!!

I recieved the doppler within about 3-4 days of ordering which was the first plus. I hadn’t bought the gel, but read another reivew saying that water would work fine. So, I put a little water on my abdomen and put the doppler on my stomach. I am not exaggerating at all when I say I picked up the amazing sound of her heartbeat within 10 seconds. In fact, every time I have used it I have found the hb within 30 seconds MAX! It is so clear and loud that even my children and husband have had no issue hearing it. (I will add that I was about 16 weeks along)

I got this product because this is my first pregancy and of course all the worry seems to get to you even though you try to keep your mind off it. The main reason why I got this is also because my husband is deployed and to be able to send him a sound file of the babies heart beat is a great feeling and he LOVED IT!!! when I first it i was 12 weeks I couldn’t hear the fetal heart beat but at 13 weeks i heard it clear as day!!! keep in mind though YOU CAN PICK UP YOUR OWN HEART BEAT!!! which is what i did at 12 weeks at 13 weeks I found the fetal heart beat and the sound was nothing like my heart beat I compared it to a little cho cho train and it brings a warmth to your heart that you never thought you could feel. It brings me peace of mind knowing that in between my appointments my little ones are doing great!!!
