A baby heart rate monitor will tell you the heart rate of your unborn child. However, what is the point of knowing that if you don’t know what heart rate your baby should actually have. The fetal heart beat will change as the pregnancy develops, and as of week 5, it will accelerate at a rate of 3.3 beats per day for the next month. The heart rate of the fetus starts at the same rate as the mothers which is usually about 80-85 beats per minute. here is a list of the heart rates from weeks 5-9, we can assume a starting heart rate of 80 beats per minute.

Week 5: The heart rate starts at 80 and ends at 103 bpm

Week 6: The heart rate starts at 103 and ends at 126 bpm

Week 7: The heart rate starts at 126 and ends at 149 bpm

Week 8: The heart rate starts at 149 and ends at 172 bpm

During week 9 the heart rate of the fetus will be beating between 155 to 195 bpm. By week 12 it will have decreased and fallen to 120-160 bpm.
